Step-by-step explanation:

As we know ,the area =1/2 ×sum of parallel sides×distance

400=1/2×(20+a)×16

a=30cm

thus the length of other side =30cm

Let ABCD be a trapezium with parallel sides AB and CD

Let AB=20 (Given) and CD=x

A(□ABCD)=480 m2,height(h)=15 m (Given)

We know that, A(□ABCD)= (AB+CD)\2×h

⟹480= 20+x\2×15

⟹ 2×480/15 =20+x

⟹64=20+x

⟹x=44

Hence, length of other parallel side CD is 44 m
