Given :-

The area of trapezium = 0.44m^2

The altitude of the trapezium = 22cm

Solution :-

Here, we have to find the sum of the lengths of its parallel sides that is(a + b)

As we know that,

Area of trapezium = 1/2 * h( a + b)

The area of trapezium and it's altitude is already given in the question that is 0.44m^2 and 22cm

Convert 0.44m^2 into centimeters that is 4400cm

Put the required values in the given formula,

4400 = 1/2 * 22 * ( a + b)

4400 = 11 ( a + b )

( a + b) = 4400/11

( a + b) = 400cm

Hence, The sum of lengths of its parallel sides is 400cm .
