Given:

• The area of trapezium is 105 cm²

• It's height is 7 cm.

• If one of the parallel sides is longer than the other by 6 cm.

Find:

• The length of two parallel sides.

Answer:

Let the first side be " x "

The the second side is 6 more then other = x + 6

As we know:

Are\:of \:trapezium=\frac{a+b}{2} *h

Values:-

=105=\frac{x+x+6}{2} *7\\\\=105*2=(x^{2} +6)7\\\\=210=7x^2+42\\\\=7x^2=210-42\\\\=7x^2=168\\\\=x^{2} =\frac{168}{7} \\\\=x=\sqrt[]{27} \\\\=x=5

So,

First Side is 5 cm.

Second side is x + 6 = 11 cm
