Let first parallel side be x
So other parallel side = 2x - 5
Given that area = 15.4
Height = 1.4
We know that, area of a trapezium
= 1/2 × (sum of parallel sides) × h = area
=> 1/2 × (x + 2x - 5) × 1.4 = 15.4
=> (3x - 5) × 0.7 = 15.4
=> (3x - 5) = 15.4/0.7
=> (3x - 5) = 22
=> 3x = 22 + 5
=> 3x = 27
=> x = 27/3
=> x = 9 m
So other parallel side = 2x - 5 = 2(9) - 5 = 18 - 5
= 13m
Answer :- 9m and 13m
