hey!!

here is ur answer.....!

the formula for area of trapezium is ....

 \frac{1}{2} (sum \: of \: parallel \: sides) \times height

so, one measurement of parallel sides is 26

the difference between or the height is 38

so lets take the other side of the parallel sides as X

if we substitute we get,

 \frac{1}{2} (26 + x) \times 38

this will be ....

(26 + x) \times 19

494 + 19x

area is given as 1586.

so....

494+ 19x = 1586

19x = 1092

x =  \frac{1092}{19}

x = 57.47

hope this helps!

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Formula for finding area of a trapezium =h(a+b) /2

Area =1586cm square

= 26(38+b) /2=1586cm square

=38+b/2=1586/26

=38+b/2=61

=38+b= 122

=b=122-38

=b=84cm

So therefore the length of the other parallel side=84cm
