The area of trapezium is 160cm2 .if the height of parallel lines is 8cm and one parallel side is half of other side, find parallel sides of trapezium.

Let base 1 be x the according to question b2 = 1/2x
Now area of trapezium
=1/2 × (b1 + b2) ×h
160 = 1/2 × ( x/2 + x) ×8
320= 3x/2 × 8
40 × 2= 3x
80 /3 =x
26.6 cm = x
B1 = 26.6cm and B2 = 13.3cm
Now area of trapezium
=1/2 × (b1 + b2) ×h
160 = 1/2 × ( x/2 + x) ×8
320= 3x/2 × 8
40 × 2= 3x
80 /3 =x
26.6 cm = x
B1 = 26.6cm and B2 = 13.3cm
