Let the length of one parallel side be x and other x+6

Area of trapezium = 168 cm^2

1/2× ( sum of parallel sides) × height = 168

1/2× (x+x+6) × 8 = 168

x+x+6 = 168/4

2x+6 = 42

2x = 42 -6

2x = 36

x = 36/2

x= 18

hence, the length of one parallel side is 18 cm and ither is 18 +6 =24 cm
