let the longer parallel side be x and shorter be x-16cm. then,1/2×(x+x-16)×14cm=182cm^2. (2x-16cm)×7cm=182cm^2. 2x-16cm=26cm 2x=26cm+16cm. x=42cm/2=21cm. the longer side=21cm, shorter side =21cm-16cm=5cm.

Hi ,
************************************
Let a and b are two parallel sides

of the trapizium,

Height between them = h

Area ( A ) = ( a+ b ) h /2
********************************"********

According to the problem given,

h = 14 cm

Shorter side = a cm

Longer side = ( a + 16 ) cm

A = 182 sq cm

[ a + a + 16 ) × 14 ] / 2 = 182

( 2a + 16 )7 = 182

2a + 16 = 182 / 7

2a = 26 - 16

2a = 10

a = 10 / 2

a = 5

Therefore ,

Length of the shorter side = a = 5 cm

Length of the longer side = a + 16

= 5 + 16

= 21 cm

I hope this helps you.
