Area of a trapezium= 1/2 × (sum of two parallel sides)× height
2400= 1/2×(75+x)×40
2400= 75/2+x/2 ×40
2400/40= (75+x)/2
60×2=75+x
120-75= x
45=x

hi ,
let a and b are the two parallel sides of the
trapezium ,
a = 75 m ;
b = ?
height between parallel sides ( h ) = 40 m
area of the trapezium = 2400 m²
( a+ b ) h /2 = 2400
( 75 + b ) × 40/2 = 2400
75 + b = 2400/20
75 + b = 120
b = 120 - 75
b = 45 m
I hope this helps you.
