Area of trapezium=
H x sum of Parallel sides/2

Let parallel side be x cm
4 x (10+x)/2 = 34
40 + 4x = 68
4x = 28
X = 7 Ans !

given area of trapezium = 34cmsq
one side = 10cm
height = 4cm
let second side = l

as area of trapezium = 1/2(sum of parallel side )*h
so
34 = 1/2(10+l)*4

then
17 = 10+l
l=7cm

thus length of second side = 7cm
