height of trpezium = 6 cm

one || side = 5 cm

let other be x

area of trapezium = 1/2 × ( sum of || sides) × h

39 = 1/2 × ( 5+x) × 6

39×2 = (5+x) × 6

78/6 = 5+x

13-5 = x

8 = x

x = 8cm
