Given:

  • Area of trapezium = 450 m²
  • Distance between two parallel sides = 10 m
  • One of the parallel side = 15 m

To find:

  • Length of other parallel side?

Solution:

☯ Let length of other parallel side be x cm.

We know that,

Area of trapezium = 1/2(sum of parallel sides) × height

Here,

  • Height = Distance between two parallel sides

Therefore,

According to the given Question:

→ 450 = 1/2 × (15 + x) × 10

→ 450 = (15 + x) × 5

→ 450/5 = 15 + x

→ 90 = 15 + x

→ 90 - 15 = x

→ 75 = x

∴ Hence, Length of other parallel side is 75 m.
