Answer:

area of trapezium = 1/2*sum of parallel sides * distance between them

800=1/2*(30+x)*20

1600/20=(30+x)

80=(30+x)

x=80-30=50

x=50

so the other parallel side is 50

Answer:

The other parallel side is 50 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : Area of trapezium = 800 cm²

            one of the parallal side a= 30 cm

            height h = 20 cm

          other parallal side b=?

Solution : Area of trapezium = 1/2 x h x (a+b)

                                        800 = 1/2 x 20 x (30 + b)

                                       30 + b = 800 x2/20

                                                   = 80

                                               b = 80 -30

                                                  = 50 cm
