Answer:

Area of trapezium is 1/2×(x+64)×17. = 850 = 1/2 (x+64). =(X+64) = 1700/17 = 100 = x = 100-64 = 36cm ans.

GivEn:

  • Area of Trapezium = 850 cm²
  • 1st parallel side = 64 cm
  • Perpendicular side (Height) = 17cm

To Find:

  • length of other parallel side?

Formula Used:

Area of Trapezium = 1/2 × (sum of parallel sides) × Height

Step By step:

Suppose the other parallel side be x

So in:

Area = 1/2 × Sum of parallel sides × height

850 = 1/2 × (64 + x) × 17

850 × 2/17 = (64 + x)

1700/17 = 64 + x

100 = 64 + x

After substituting;

100 - 64 = x

36 = x

So,

The other parallel side is 36cm .
