area = 138m²

height = 12m

length of 1 parallel side = 15

let the other parallel side be x

we know,

area of trapezium  = 1/2   *   [  sum of parallel sides ]   *   height

area of trapezium = 1/2 * [15+x ] * 12

we will cancel 12 with 2 by 6 times

so, area = [ 15+x ] *6

area = 90 + 6x

A2Q, 90 + 6x = 138

6x = 138-90

6x = 48

x = 48/6

x = 8

so, length of other parallel side is 8 cm
