parallel side = 16cm and 10 cm

distance between them = 6 cm

to find ;

area of trapezium

proof ;

area \: of \: trapezium \:  =  \frac{1}{2} (sum \: of \: parallel \: side \: ) \times (distance  \: between \: them)

 \frac{1}{2}  \times (10 + 16) \times 6

 \frac{1}{2}  \times 26 \times 6 \\  \\  \\  = 78cm ^{2}

hence area of trapezium = 78 cm square
