Let the shorter parallel side be x cm.
So, the other parallel side = x + 6 cm.

Area of trapezium = 1/2 * [ sum of parallel sides ] * height
180 = 1/2 * [ x + x + 6 ] * 9
x + x + 6 = 180 * 2 / 9
2x+ 6 = 40
x = 34 / 2
x = 17 and the other side
x + 6 = 17 + 6 = 23 cm

So the two parallel sides are 17 and 23 respectively,

let parelll sides =x
first parellel side =x+6
Area of trape =1/2*(sum of parellel sides) *h
180=1/2*(x+x+6)*9
180*2=(2x+6)*9
360=18x+54
360-54=18x
306=18x
306/18=x
17cm=x
first parellel side =x+6=17+6=23cm
second parellel side =17cm
