area of parallelogram=2× area of triangle ABC
=2×15=30sq cm

now in figure abef triangle afe and trapezium abef are on same base and between same parallel lines there fore area afe is equal to area abef.

similarly area fed is equal to area fecd. add 1 and 2 and you will get the answer as ar(aef)=ar(abcd)1/2
