If ax+by+c=0, then the area of the triangle formed by it is c² / (2ab)

Here, c = -4 ⇒  c² = 16
a = b = 1

Area of the triangle = 16 sq.units

given x/4+y/4 = 1. so it's length of X and y intercepts is 4units so area of the triangle = 1/2*4*4 = 8sq. units
hence the required area is 8
