GIVEN:

  • Area of triangle = 52.5 cm²
  • Height of the triangle = 7 cm

TO FIND:

  • What is the base of the triangle ?

SOLUTION:

We have given that, the area of triangle is 52.5 cm2 and its height is 7 cm

We know that the formula for finding the area of triangle is:-

\large\bf{ Area = \dfrac{1}{2} \times base \times height }

According to question:-

\rm{\rightharpoonup 52.5 = \dfrac{1}{2} \times base \times 7 }

\rm{\rightharpoonup 52.5 \times 2 =   base \times 7 }

\rm{\rightharpoonup 105 =   base \times 7 }

\rm{\rightharpoonup Base = \cancel\dfrac{105}{7} }

\large\bf{\rightharpoonup \star \: Base = 15 \: cm\: \star}

 ❝ Hence, the base of the triangle is 15 cm.

VERIFICATION:

\bf{ 52.5 = \dfrac{1}{\cancel{2}}\times 15 \times \cancel{7}}

\bf{ 52.5 = 15 \times 3.5}

\bf{ 52.5 = 52.5 }
