Hola!!⤵️⤵️⤵️

Working formula == Area = 1/2 × base × height(altitude)

⭕20 = 1/2 × 8 × H

H = 5 cm which is the required answer .

Step by step Explanation

Let the altitude be 'x' cm

Given,

Base of the triangle= 8cm

Area of the triangle= 20 cm²

Now, using the formula for the area of the triangle, we get :-

Area of ∆ = ½× base × altitude

→20 =  \frac{1}{2}  \times 8 \times x

→20 = 4 \times x

→x =  \frac{20}{4}

→x = 5cm

Therefore,

The altitude of the ∆ is 5 cm
