GIVEN:

• sides of the triangle = 4 , 13 and 15cm

TO FIND:

area of the triangle

SOLUTION:

it is given that,

the side of the triangle are 4, 13 and 15cm

{\underline{\pink{\sf{ using\: heron's\:formula}}}}

{ \boxed {\purple{ \sf {area \: of \: triangle \:  =  \sqrt{s(s - a)(s - b)(s - c)} }}}}

 \sf \: where \:  \: s  = \frac{a + b + c}{2}

 \sf \rightarrow \: s \:  =  \frac{4 + 13 + 15}{2}

\rightarrow\sf{s\: =\: 16cm}

NOW,

\sf \rightarrow area \: of \: the \: triangle \:  =  \sqrt{16(16 - 4)(16 - 13)(16 - 15)}

 \rightarrow\sf \: area \: of \: the \: triangle \:  =  \sqrt{16 \:  \times \: 12 \:  \times 3 \:  \times 1 }

\rightarrow\sf{4 \: \times  \: 6}

\rightarrow\sf{24cm^2}

HENCE,

the area of the triangle is 24cm²
