  • As per the data given in the question, we have to determine the altitude to the smallest side of a triangle.

        Given data:- Sides; a=9cm, b=4cm,c=41cm.

                              Area=180cm^{2}.

        To find:- the altitude to smallest size(h)=?

        Solution:-

  • As we know that,

       The smallest side of the triangle is 4cm.so we calculate

        Area=\frac{1}{2}\timesbase\timesaltitude.

        Putting the value of triangle in the formula, we get,

        180=\frac{1}{2}\times4\timesaltitude

       altitude=\frac{180\times2}{4}=90cm.\\

  Hence, the altitude to smallest side will be 90cm.
