the ratio of areas of two similar triangles is the square of corresponding side's ratio. for example, Let \Delta ABC and \Delta DEF are two similar triangles then,

\frac{\Delta ABC}{\Delta DEF}=\frac{AB^2}{DE^2}=\frac{BC^2}{EF^2}=\frac{CA^2}{FD^2}

Here,area of two similar triangles are 25cm² and 121 cm² Let ∆ABC = 25cm² and ∆DEF = 121cm²

so, ∆ABC/∆DEF = AB²/DE²

or, 25/121 = AB²/DE²

or, (5/11)² = AB²/DE²

or, AB/DE = 5/11

hence, ratio of their corresponding sides is 5 : 11
