The areas of a square and a rectangle are equal. If the length of the rectangle is 8 m more than the side of the square and its breadth is 6 m less than the side of the square, what is the perimeter of the rectangle?

side of square =x
length of rectangle=x+8
breadth of rectangle=x-6
ar of square =ar of rectangle
so x=24
length=32and breadth=18 , perimeter of rectangle =2(l+b)
hence perimeter is 100m
