the areas of a square and rectangle are equal if the side of the square is 10m and the breadth of the rectangle is 5 m find the length of the rectangle

Given,

Area of square = Area of rectangle

Square side = 10m, Rectangle breadth = 5m. Find the length of the rectangle.

First, area of square = side × side = 10m× 10m = 100m²

since it's given in the question,

area of rectangle = 100m² breadth = 5m and let us assume length to be x.

we know that area of rectangle = length × breadth = x × 5

100 = x × 5

\frac{100}{5} = x

20m = x.

So length of the rectangle is 20m.

hope it helps!

have a great day!

Merry Christmas!
