Given : areas of the squares adjacent to two sides of a right triangle are

44 sq units

33 sq units

To Find :   Area of the square adjacent to the third side of the triangle

Solution:

Apply Pythagoras  theorem

Hypotenuse²  = Base² + Perpendicular²

As figure is missing  assuming given sides are perpendicular sides

Then

Area of the square adjacent to the third side of the triangle  = 44 + 33

= 77 sq units

Case 2 :  assuming 44  sq unit is area on hypotenuse

Then Area of the square adjacent to the third side of the triangle  = 44 - 33

= 11 sq units
