let the area of A B and C be 5x,6x and 8x respectively.
so difference between area C and A =270
=> 8x - 5x = 270
3x= 270
x= 270÷3= 90
so, x= 90 square metres.
Area of flat B = 6x
=6×90= 540 square metres.
Hope it helps.

Given, the ratio of the areas of flats A, B, C = 5:6:8
Let us take the constant with which we have considered the ratio as x
Then, area of flat A = 5x
          area of flat B = 6x
          area of flat C = 8x
Given, difference in the area of flat C and flat A = 270 sq. m
         i.e. 8x - 5x = 270 sq. m
                 3x = 270 sq. m
                   x = 90 sq.m
Area of flat B = 6 (x) = 6 ( 90 ) = 540 sq. m
∴ Area of flat B = 540 sq. m

Hope my answer helps you..
