The areas of two similar triangles A
ABC and A DEF are 288 cm² and 162
cm2 respectively. if the longest side
of larger A DEF be 36 cm, then the
longest side of the smaller triangle A
ABC is:

Let the longest side be x. Then

36:x=12:9 or x=
