We know that for given two numbers a and b , the arithmetic mean between a and b is

 \sf =  \dfrac{a + b}{2}

Here the given numbers are √5 and 3√5

Hence the required arithmetic mean between √5 and 3√5

 \sf =  \dfrac{ \sqrt{5}  + 3 \sqrt{5} }{2}

 \sf =  \dfrac{ 4 \sqrt{5} }{2}

 \sf =  2 \sqrt{5}
