Arithmetic mean is the sum of the numbers divided by the count of the numbers.

Integers from -4 to 4 are -4, -3, -2, -1, 0, 1, 2, 3, 4

Arithmetic Mean= \frac{-4-3-2-1+0+1+2+3+4}{9}\\=\frac{0}{9}\\=0

Given,

Series: -4 to 4

To Find,

Arithmetic mean of the series=?

Solution,

Series is integers from -4 to 4 that is

Series: -4, -3, -2, -1, 0, 1, 2, 3, 4

We know that mean is the sum of all the observations divided by total observations.

Mean  =   Sum of all observations / Total Observation

Mean = (-4 + -3 + -2 + -1 +  0 + 1 +  2 + 3 + 4)/ 9

Mean = (4 - 4 + 3 - 3 + 2 - 2 + 1 - 1 + 0)/9

Mean  = 0 [Sum of all observations is 0]

Hence, the arithmetic mean of integers from -4 to 4 is 0
