Answer:

The value of x=4

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : The arithmetic mean of x, x+3, x+6, x+9 and x+12 is 10.

To find : The value of x?

Solution : The mean is given by sum of all elements divided by number of elements.

So, The mean of  x, x+3, x+6, x+9 and x+12 is given by,

\text{Mean}= \frac{\text{Sum of all elemnts}}{\text{Total number of elemnts}}

Substitute the value in the formula,

10= \frac{x+x+3+x+6+x+9+x+12}{5}

10\times 5= 5x+30

50= 5x+30

50-30= 5x

20= 5x

\frac{20}{5}=x

x=4

Therefore, The value of x=4
