Explanation:

Good morning excellencies, principal sir, teachers, and my dear friends. Today, I, ABC stand before you to speak on Gandhi Jayanti. Firstly I would like to thank Mrs. XYZ for giving me the opportunity to speak on this topic. As we all have gathered to celebrate the auspicious occasion of Gandhi Jayanti I would like to throw light on the importance of this day. It is the event which is not just celebrated in India but all over the world. It is celebrated as non-violence day across the world and his thoughts are preached all over the world.

Gandhiji's full name is Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi also known as Bapu, father of nation or Mahatma Gandhi.  Born at Porbunder on 2nd October 1869, he was a simple man and led a life with high-value thinking. He was against non-vegetarian, smoking, untouchability and drinking. Also, every 2nd October, the selling of alcohol is banned all over the country. For India's freedom he started the Satyagraha movement and was the pioneer of non-violence and truth. In the end, I would like to share his thought: 'Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.'

Jai Hind.
