Heya user

Given :-

The ratio of Horizontal length & vertical height is 4:3.

A diagonal of 50 inches.

To Find :-

Horizontal length &

▪Vertical height

Solution:-

Let the Horizontal length be H.

&

The vertical height be V.

There ratio is given ☞ 4:3

Therefore,

H/V = 4/3

➯ 3H = 4V

➯ H = 4/3 V

Using Pythagora's theorem

H^2 + V^2 = (50)^2

Putting the value of H, we get

(4/3*V)^2 + V^2 = 2500

➯25 V^2 /9 = 2500

➯ V^2 = 900

V = 30

&

H = 4/3 *V

= 40

Therefore, the horizontal length is 40 and the vertical height is 30.

Thanks
