Correct Question :

The area of Rhombus is 16 cm². One of its diagonal is 4 cm. Find the other Diagonal ?

Answer :

Given :

Area of Rhombus = 16 cm²

One Diagonal = 4 cm ( d1 )

To Find :

Other Diagonal ( d2 )

Formula To Find Area :

Area Of Rhombus = 1 / 2 × d1 × d2

  • d1 = one Diagonal

  • d2 = Other Diagonal

Solution :

Area = 1 / 2 × d1 × d2

= 1 / 2 × d1 × d2 = 16

= 1 / 2 × 4 × d2 = 16

= 2 × d2 = 16

= 2d2 = 16

= d2 = 16 / 2

= d2 = 8

• d2 = 8 cm

The Other Diagonal of Rhombus = 8 cm

Area = 1 / 2 × d1 × d2

16 = 1 / 2 × 4 × 8

16 = 1 / 2 × 32

16 = 16
