It is true that atmosphere acts as a blanket or a glasshouse because it is the atmosphere which consists up of ozone layer which protects us from the harmful Ray's of the sun ....
Called as UV Ray's or the ultra violet rays........ Which can lead to many diseases like cancer,melanoma etc...
Thus we're lucky to have atmosphere consisting up of ozone layer
