The atmosphere pressure exerted on the surface of the Earth is 10 to the power 5 N/m sq. If the density of air is assumed to be uniform equal to 1.3 kg/m sq and g= 10 m/s sq, calculate the height of the atmosphere. ( Ans: 7692.3m)

Explanation:

Pressure(P) = 10⁵N/m²

density(D) = 1.3kg/m³

g (a)= 10m/s²

P = F/Ar

P = m.a/Ar

D = m/v

m = D.v

m = D.Ar.h ---(1)

P = D.Ar.h.a/Ar

P = D.h.a

10⁵ = 1.3×h×10

h = 100000/13

h = 7692.3m....;):)
