Hello....
The atmospheric pressure Decreases with increasing altitude
The atmospheric pressure decreases with increasing altitude.
As we go towards higher altitudes, the atmospheric pressure decreases because the weight of air above us decreases.
Atmospheric pressure will be highest at the sea level and will be lowest on the top of a high mountain.
Due to the low air pressure on the mountains, sometimes we experience nose bleeding. Why? This is because on the plains, the air pressure is equal to the pressure of our body (which is maintained by our blood). Therefore we don't get crushed by the enormous air pressure acting on our body and we don't feel uncomfortable.
When we go to higher altitudes, the air pressure above is lower than usual. This means that the air pressure is less than the pressure of our blood. Due to the imbalance in the pressure, the blood vessels bursts out and this leads to bleeding, especially in the nose.
