The atomic mass of calcium is 40 u.what will be the no. of calcium atoms in 0.4 u of calcium ? please explain the steps as well say how is it please.

Anonymous: okk fine
BrainofBrainly: maybe i dont if it is....
Anonymous: what ?
BrainofBrainly: 0.4 u ............... 0.4 g
Anonymous: check the question paper
SARDARshubham: hey, the question is right
BrainofBrainly: ok
BrainofBrainly: thanks guyz
SARDARshubham: If it would be 0.4g , then by the same formula number of molecules can be found.
BrainofBrainly: ok

Given ;
mass = 0.4 u
Atomic mass = 40 u

Number of atoms = (Given mass/Atomic mass) × Avogadro constant

= (0.4/40) × 6.023 × 10^23

= 0.01 × 6.023 × 10^23

= 6.023 × 10^21 atoms

Atomic mass ( Mass of 1 mole ) of Calcium= 40 u.

Given mass of Calcium = 0.4 u

Here is a formula to find the no: of particles.You can use this formula to find the no: of atoms or no: of molecules .

No: of particles = No : of moles × Avogadro no:

No : of moles = Given mass / molar mass
= 0.4 / 40
= 0.01 moles

No: of particles = 0.01 × 6.022 × 10²³
= 6.022 × 10 ²¹ atoms.
