Given info : The atomic masses of N (99.64 % ) and N (0.36 % ) are 14.00307 amu and 15.0001 amu respectively.

To find : The average atomic mass of nitrogen is....

solution : The average atomic mass of an element = sum of products of % abundance and atomic mass/100

so atomic mass of nitrogen = (99.64 × 14.00307 + 0.36 × 15.0001)/100

= (1,395.26589 + 5.400036)/100

= 1,400.66593/100

= 14.0066593 amu

Therefore the average atomic mass of nitrogen is 14.0066593 amu.
