The atomic no of chlorine is 17. According to the periodic a element can have 2 in L shell 8 in K 8 in M so in case of chlorine it contains 2 in L 8 in K and 7 in M. According to these it is proved that chlorine is the os element in the question or in other words in simple language chlorine is the element needed in the question asked by you.
