we come to know that no. of protons and electrons in sodium are 11 as they are equal to atomic no.
and mass no. of sodium is 23
from this, we come to know that no.of neutrons are 12 as neutrons = mass no. - proton no.

Explanation:

Atomic number (11) of sodium conveys us that the number of protons and electrons in the sodium atom is 11 each.

Mass number (23) of sodium conveys us that the sum of number of protons and neutrons (collectively known as nucleons) present in the nucleus of an atom is 23.
