The atomic number of an element is 17. (a) What is its valency? (b)Whether it is a metal or non-metal? (c) Whether it is bigger or smaller in size than an element of atomic number 18? (d)What type of bonds it will form with elements of group 18? (e) How would its oxide behave with litmus solution?

a) VALENCY-->-1.

b) ITS A NON METAL.. HALOGEN.

c) -It is smaller than the enement having atomic number 18.

d) No bond will be formed because the element of group 18 are already stable so they neither loses or gains electrons.

e) it's oxide will be acidic in nature and will turn blue litmus red and no change on red litmus.
