As we know there are mainly 2 stages of photosynthesis:
- Light-dependant reactions
- Calvin Cycle
Lets look them in detail:
Light-dependant reactions
- It takes place at the Thylakoid membrane.
- It requires sunlight.
- The chloroplasts captures the light energy and stores as ATP.
Calvin Cycle
- It takes place at the stroma.
- It doesn't require sunlight.
- ATP are converted to sugars.
∴ ATP is formed during the Light-dependant reaction stage of photosynthesis.
