Given:

The average of present age of Aryan and Shurya is 27 years.

The ratio between their ages after 8 years would be 9 : 5.

To Find:

The age of Shurya after 2 years from his present age.

Solution:

Let the present age of Aryan and Shurya be A and S respectively.

The average of present age of Aryan and Shurya is 27 years.

                   \boldsymbol{\therefore \frac{(A+S)}{2} =27}\\\\\boldsymbol{\therefore (A+S) =27\times 2}\\\\\boldsymbol{\therefore (A+S) =54}\\\\\boldsymbol{\therefore A=(54-S)-Eq.(ii)}

The ratio between their ages after 8 years would be 9 : 5.

   The age of Aryan after 8 years = (A + 8)

   The age of Shurya after 8 years = (S + 8)

                   \boldsymbol{\therefore \frac{(A+8)}{(S+8)}=\frac{9}{5}  }\\\\\boldsymbol{\therefore 5A+40=9S+72  }\\\\\boldsymbol{\therefore 5A-9S=32 -Eq.(ii) }\\\\

Putting the value of 'A' from Eq.(i) into Eq.(ii):

                   ∴ 5(54 - S) - 9S = 32

                   ∴ 270 - 5S - 9S = 32

                   ∴ 14S = 270 - 32

                   ∴ 14S = 238

                   ∴ S = 238/14 = 17 years

The value of 'S' comes out to be equal to 17 years. Therefore the present age of Shurya is equal to 17 years.

The age of Shurya after 2 years from his present age = 17 + 2 = 19 years

Therefore the age of Shurya after 2 years from his present age comes out to be equal to 19 years.
