is 10/Km. Taking the total distance covered as x Km and the total fare as ``y, write a linear

equation for this information. Also calculate the total fare that a customer will have to pay for

covering a distance of 20 Km​

soln.. given fair for the first 2 km = 25

so, the subsequent distance = (x -2)km

so,the fair for the subsequent distance =10(x-2)

y = 25+10 (x-2) =25 + 10x -20

=5+10x so y -5 -10x = 0 which is the reqd. linear equation
