Find the sum of the age of the 40 employees:

Average age of the 40 employees = 25 years

Sum of the age of the 40 employees = 25 x 40 = 1000 years

Find the sum of the age of the 41 employees:

Average age of the 41 employees = 25 1/3 = 76/3 years

Sum of the age of the 41 employees = 76/3 x 41 = 3116/3 years

Find the age of the new employee:

Age of new employee =3116/3 - 1000 = 116/3 years

Convert the age to years and months

3116/3 years = 38 years and 8 months

Answer: The new employee is 38 years and 8 months old.
