16×19+18 divided by 20

=322/20

=16.1

The average age of total students = 16

=> Sum of total age of all students = 16 x 20

                                                   = 320

Number of student who litter the class = 1

age of student who litter the class = 18 years

now the sum of total students after 1 boy litter the class = 320 - 18

                                                                                      = 302

So, the new average age of remaining boys can be given by,

\textrm{new average age}\ =\ \dfrac{total\ age}{\textrm{total number of studfent}}

                                            =\dfrac{302}{19}

                                            = 15.89

Hence, the average of remaining student is 15.89 years.
