average students= 24

Sun of all students= 24 ×11= 264

when the teachers age is added the new sum becomes

264+ x ( teacher is x)

number of observations= 24+1= 25

= 11+1 = 12

so by formula

(264+x)÷ 25= 12

264+x= 25×12= 300

264+ x= 300

x= 300-264

x= 36
