average=sum of age / no. of students
sum=avg.*no. of students
sum=40*18=720
New no.of students=20; total=60
20 students sum of age=y
(720+y)/60= 37/2
720+y= 37*30
y=1110-720
y=390
average of 20 students= sum of 20/20
390/20=19.5 years

Hmingthanglien: how is 37/2 come out
leninviki: 6month increase so to convert into year 18+(6/12)
Hmingthanglien: thank you
leninviki: welcome
Hmingthanglien: how is 19.5 years turn into 19 years 6 month
